Saleon AG develops high-performance, sustainable energy storage solutions based on salt – with a focus on efficiency, safety, and scalability.
Building on more than 15 years of research and engineering expertise in sodium-nickel-chloride (NaNiCl₂) technology, Saleon develops stationary battery storage systems that are intrinsically safe, non-flammable, and fully recyclable. Our batteries are based on widely available raw materials – above all common salt and nickel – and contain no lithium, no cobalt, and no graphite, reducing dependency on the most fragile battery supply chains. At end of life, the materials can be recovered and reused, supporting a genuinely circular approach to energy storage.
Saleon batteries operate reliably across extreme temperature ranges, require no active cooling, and offer a long service life with minimal maintenance – making them the ideal solution for renewable energy integration, grid stability, industrial applications, and off-grid power supply. From our base in the Bernese Oberland, we combine Swiss engineering with a clear mission: safe, sustainable, and scalable energy storage for the energy transition.
