SUMMARY:Anton Paar Battery Day
DESCRIPTION:Ensuring lithium-ion batteries are safe\, powerful\, and reliable is more critical than ever before\, this is why battery materials need to be fully characterized and monitored from the time they enter the production facility until they are incorporated into the final product. During Anton Paar Battery Day\, you will learn how to measure and evaluate the most important physical properties of battery powders\, slurries\, electrolytes and separators. \nAnton Paar Internal expert Jiri Novaha will demonstrate new methods for measuring the adhesion of functional coatings of lithium-ion battery electrodes and for characterizing their mechanical properties. In addition\, an external expert will join the seminar to share his experience with Anton Paar instruments in battery material characterization. \nAfter theory\, experts will provide hands-on training in the lab on various physical characterization technologies\, including particle size and shape\, pore size\, solid density\, and surface characterization. \nSpeakers: Jiří Nohava\, PhD.\, Mr. Anthony Chalou\nLocation: Anton Paar Switzerland AG\, Pulverhausweg 13\, 5033 Buchs AG \nRegister now

SUMMARY:iBAT Battery Tuesday Batrec Industrie AG
DESCRIPTION:Details\nThe upcoming Networking Event Series – iBAT Battery Tuesdays presents Batrec Industrie AG \nDate and time: Tuesday\, September 3 16.00 – 17. 00 \nSpeaker: Philipp Rädecker\, Head of battery recycling \nBatrec Industrie AG was founded in the 1990s to offer a solution for the recycling of batteries. Collection\, transport and recycling are coordinated by Inobat. \nThe material arrives in drums and is sorted by trained personnel into different fractions according to cell chemistry and size. The majority of batteries (household batteries – alkaline and ZnC) are processed pyrometallurgically. With increasing mobility and electrification\, the proportion of LIBs is increasing. In order to recycle this material as well\, a two-stage mechanical process has been developed to generate fractions that can be fed back into the material cycles. A mechanical separation plant was commissioned for this purpose in November 2023. \nTopics: \n\nChallenges in recycling of LIBs – sorting\, storing and recycling\nProcess of LIB recycling at Batrec Industrie AG\nOutlook and future development

SUMMARY:iBAT Battery Tuesday Comsol
DESCRIPTION:The upcoming Networking Event Series – iBAT proudly presents: \n\niBAT Battery Tuesday Comsol\n\nDate and time: \nFebruary 4\, 2025 @ 16:00 – February 4\, 2025 @ 16:00 \n \nSpeakers: \n\nSven Friedel\, Managing Director\, COMSOL Multiphysics\nEdmund Dickinson\, Head of Electrochemistry\, About:Energy\n\nTopics: \nFrom Data to Predictions: Simplifying Battery Modeling with Real-World Test Data \nIn this talk\, we illustrate COMSOL’s recent innovations in modeling for stakeholders in the whole battery value chain. Partnering with one of COMSOL’s certified consultants\, About:Energy\, we will show how physical battery testing data can be seamlessly transformed into powerful\, predictive numerical models to serve as the foundation for accurate simulations by designers of battery-driven systems. \nLearn how our software simplifies the process\, driving faster innovation and reliable system design. Join us to discover the future of battery modeling with real-world data at its core.
